Referrals & Medicare Rebate
A valid referral is required to claim a rebate from Medicare. Referrals from GPs are valid for 12 months and referrals from other specialists are valid for 3 months. If your referring doctor moves location or changes their medicare provider number, any existing referral becomes invalid. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have provided Dr Ciin with a valid referral.
Making the most of your Consultation
Dr Ciin likes to review all new referrals a few days prior to your visit. This helps both doctor and patient get the best from the consultation. Therefore, wherever possible, please ensure that the referral is received by Dr Ciin’s rooms as early as possible.
